Keyboard Shortcuts for Google+ Notifications

Keyboard shortcuts to make your browsing simpler. It is no different in the case of Google+, where simple shortcut keys can help you explore the social platform much faster. These shortcuts are a boon for those using laptops.

Google+ supports the following keyboard shortcuts. To see the full list from any screen in Google+, press SHIFT+?

@	Send feedback to Google
/	Select the search box at the top of the page
j	Move down in the stream
k	Move up in the stream
l	Load new posts
n	Move to the next comment on the current post
d	Mark your currently selected notification as "Read."
p	Move to the previous comment on current post
u	This will return you to the list of notifications.
r	Comment on the current post
?	Open the full list of keyboard shortcuts
J	to read NEXT post on the Stream
K	to read PREVIOUS post on the Stream
R	to Enter a COMMENT
TAB + ENTER	to Publish the COMMENT
SPACE	to SCROLL-DOWN the Stream (Any Page)
SHIFT + SPACE	to SCROLL-UP the Stream (Any Page)
N	to read NEXT COMMENT on a Post
P	to read PREVIOUS COMMENT on a Post
/	to start a Google+ SEARCH
?	to view Keyboard SHORTCUTS
(Left Arrow)	to SELECT PAGES on the Left Ribbon.
(Right Arrow)	to SCROLL/READ the Stream again.
J	Scroll down to next Google+ stream update
K	Scroll up to previous Google+ stream update
Q	This takes you directly to the Google chat box
QQ	Pressing Q twice moves your cursor the search box in the “chat” section of Google+
Space	Scroll down stream by regular intervals
Space + Shift	Scroll up stream by regular intervals
Enter	When a stream update is selected Enter moves your cursor to the comment box
Enter + Tab	Submit comment
Esc	Close the entire notification panel.
@	@ followed by a username is used to mention someone in a post or share the post with them
*	symbol to denote the beginning and end of bold text- *This would appear bold in Google+*
_(underscore)	This sign before and after a _Word_ will make it in italics- Word
-(dash)	symbol to denote The dash sign used before and after a Word will strikethrough the – Word
Ctrl-(minus)	Pressing them on the Circles page makes Circle management
+ :-	This also serves the same purpose as the @ symbol.
